Applications are now open for the 2026 Internship Program at the Centre for Data Science Studies at the University of Hong Kong (UCH) . This fully funded program is open to students from around the world . The seven-week internship offers international students the opportunity to experience a graduate research program and participate in research projects under the supervision of faculty members. Applications are free of charge, and the internship will run from July 19 to August 31, 2026. Approximately 50 outstanding students will participate in the 2026 Internship Program at the UHH. - The program is open to citizens of all countries.
- Open to current second or third year undergraduate students.
- Studying computer science, statistics, actuarial science, or a related field
- From universities in mainland China, Hong Kong or other overseas countries.
Visa information
Accepted students must apply for a " trainee visa " through the Hong Kong Immigration Department. A letter of support from the student's home educational institution is required, confirming their support for the training at the University of Hong Kong and the student's return to their studies after completing the training.
Applicants must ensure their institution can provide this letter before applying. Tourist visas are not acceptable. Please refer to the Guidebook for Entry for Training in Hong Kong.
