Description

The following main tasks will be carried out at the "Casa de Acuglienza Estitut Walden" centre, a shelter for women and minors who are survivors of violence or come from a difficult social environment: - Support for teachers in the implementation of the following activities: - After-school activities (homework, foreign language lessons, workshops) - Recreational workshops for clowns: cooking, theater, music, assault arts - Language workshop in the mother tongue for volunteers - Organisation of festive events: carnivals, Christmas, Easter, etc. - Management of daily life in the community or in the nursing home: food preparation, cleaning of rooms and common areas, personal hygiene of children - Accompaniment of beneficiaries to doctors, hospitals, gyms, swimming pools, excursions, the sea, etc.

Accommodation, food and transportation arrangements

Volunteers will work 5 days per week, with a maximum of 35 hours per week. They will receive two consecutive days off. Volunteers will receive an additional two free days per month. Vacation days cannot overlap with other volunteers' days (i.e., volunteers will not be able to take vacation days together) and will not fall on weekends. - Accommodation: Volunteers will share an apartment in Menfi, which includes two double bedrooms, a kitchen, two bathrooms, and a dining room. Pocket money of €6 per day will be provided, plus €100 per month to cover food expenses.
